Mike Bell
Whichwaysup you’re right, I’m torn on how to price this. Ill have an asking price soon but willing to work with the next owner. Thanks for you comment and apologies for not having a complete listing
HoneyB
Great looking boat. Of course as always just when I think I find a great deal on a project boat, a great one pops up. I’m very interested to see what you come up with for a price as well.
Mike Bell
Price updated $11,000 or best offer
whichwaysup
Mike, thanks for updating. Depending on the extent of the damage, the price seems fair. If you have more details or pics around the damage, its cause, and extent, it would be helpful. I am passing this listing along to a friend. Transom flex is unusual in a boat without wood, so more details may accelerate a sale by narrowing down the potential scope of repair work. Mike Bell
Will do, I’ll have more pictures of the transom this afternoon. Thanks
MarcoMarlin
Please do post the new photos of the transom in detail as soon as possible....Thank you
Mike Bell
Port and starboard side of transom. Silicone caulking was applied to keep water intrusion out

redzone1
I wish Jbibler and his Dad would take on this project. Seems like this could be fixed to be stronger and better than ever.
Mike Bell
Marcomarlin, no sir, the boat was not involved in a wreck. I’ve had the transom inspected by multiple fiberglass companies confirming the transom needing to be replaced. We believe the asking price is fair, considering the needed work but willing to come to a compromise with the next owner. I’ll have more pictures this weekend, thanks guys

whichwaysup
Is it just me or does the repair here seem fairly straightforward? Unless there are other issues, this is a pretty good deal. 2002s usually had the stringers connected to the transom, might be worth confirming that Mike. Mike Bell
Whichwaysup, that’s is correct. As well, I’ve answered a few questions through PM… **original fuel tank, tank was pressure tested before I bought the boat and last years 100 hour service. **original wiring ** boat is rigged for a 24 volt Trolling motor. Listed price does not include trolling motor (Minn Kota Terrova 2021) or Lowrance (HDS Live 9 2023) but still available and can be negotiated. ** All (3) batteries less than 2 years old ** full boat cover ** cowling cover ** center console only cover ** push pole mounting brackets available. ** 30qt K2 cooler with seat pad ** 4” seat Cushing

No transom repair is straightforward, have to account for the unknowns.
