SANDAN
I’ve heard a few places that the 2500 has plates imbeded in the bow to mount the trolling motor. The boat I have came with a motor mounted. Here is a view from underneath. Are those 2 squares the plates? I don’t see how anyone can hit them with the mount. redzone1
I’m not sure what those squares are, but the aluminum plate that you mention covers a big area that is fiberglassed over. Same does for the transom area where you would mount a power pole. In your case though it doesn’t matter as trolling motor mount is through bolted with a washer and a locknut. Really curious what those squares are for and good luck calling Maverick… Does the 2500 have plates for a power pole? They are usually mounted to a bracket on the jack plate. redzone1
My 2018 24TRS has them in the transom. The reason I know this is the bolts that hold the power pole bracket onto my transom doesn’t have nuts on them. This concerned me thinking they installed it that way into just fiberglass. I replaced my bracket a few months ago due to the power coating all flaking off. I drilled out one of the holes a little bigger so I could slide the new bolts in and put a washer and nut on and drilled out aluminum when I was making one of the holes bigger.
