SeaSerpent123 Posted February 20 Report Share Posted February 20 Took my friends out from when we were in Jr High back in the day on the boat. Had a boys trip and stayed at Kon Tiki. I really like that place and would stay there again. Friday was amazing out. Sun, temp and wind all lined up to allow us on the reef. Moved a few spots and finally found the yellowtail. I only had 1 chum block as I refuse to spend 100.00 in bait and we came home with 9 nice size yellowtail. No sharks either which was extreamley nice. I did do the cardinal sin of fishing and left fish to find fish....WRONG!!!! lol We tried our luck at lobstering in the bay and only found shorts. It was still fun and my bud from Oregon loved that he could still get in the water. lol 2nd day we ran the backcountry only to get beating up by wind and chop. I had never ran the route but FMT did a amazing job. Next time I'm down there, I'm taking the boat to the glades for sure.
