Headhunter Posted March 6 Report Share Posted March 6 Had this done on my lowrance to get speed, fuel flow, mpg and time show up on my 6yc on the Maverick via NMEA183. I did a thread on it here a while ago about it and it worked great for the price of 2 butt connectors. I switched to Simrad, bought the required cable, wired it up and it worked except for the speed and time which still shows a dash. The Simrad software has a lot more choices and I think I just have to check some box someplace. Any help is appreciated. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Headhunter Posted March 12 Author Report Share Posted March 12 Finally got everything working. Lowrance made it easy, Simrad not so much. Simrad has a significant number of choices for NMEA 0183a sentences and Yamaha use RCW. It looks like you have to uncheck all of the other sentences and select the right baud rate in order to to make it work. Navico support was of zero assistance. I got some good help off THT.
