plainsman5
I have a 2004 2200V with the leaning post/tackle station. I just had my 90degree seat cushion replaced however they used a different backer board. The problem with that is the old board had threaded inserts to bolt the hinge to seat and tackle station. Any ideas to best secure the new cushion now that it's missing the threaded inserts? Thanks for you help Jason
S2KiiNG
Could you maybe install your own threaded inserts? That’s probably the route I would take. I like installing things as close to factory as possible unless there is a known problem, then I’ll try my best to come up with a solution.
gtrfred
I had a similar issue and had to take the cushion apart. i added aluminum plates inside the cushion (between board and foam) and tapped them to allow for threaded bolts for the hinge. Depending on the material you also use screws, but I would be concerned they would eventually pull through the material.
