sscoville
I just bought a 2011 pathfinder with the original upholstery. The leaning post seat appears to be made of two pieces of starboard fitted at a 90 degree angle covered in upholstery. The joint where the 2 pieces meet shifts slightly so that when seated I can slide fore and aft about 1/2”. It’s annoying. I’m thinking about installing something on the underside at the joint like aluminum angle iron. Is this common?
jh141
I put a thin piece of aluminum angle on the underside of mine attached with small stainless screws every 1/2 inch or so. Worked pretty well. My 2012 in now due for all the upholstery to be replaced and I plan to do something a bit more stout on the inside at that 90 degree joint. sscoville
I had one made from birdsall on my last boat and didn’t have this problem. I suspect whatever holds it together is normally hidden under the upholstery. thanks
