Fish5 Posted April 3, 2024 Report Posted April 3, 2024 (edited) Made a short Easter weekend camping in Eastpoint. Launched at appilach bridge Saturday unsure of our plans. Water was SO murky we just decided to make a day of joy riding. (Passed a boat heading into the bay with a lot of bamboo stakes). Probably should have followed. But made the trip up river to intercostal into ST. Joe. Once there it was so ruff. We docked at the marina and walked to a few shops. Didn’t go down with high fishing hopes so all is good. Salt therapy was needed for the whole family. First time out in to long time. Edited April 3, 2024 by Fish5 2 Quote
Bamaskeet Posted April 3, 2024 Report Posted April 3, 2024 I live on St George Island and the water color had been awful for a month. Too much fresh water coming down the rivers and we have had some windy weather. Lots of small trout around but keepers are tough to find. Quote
Fishin' Mission Posted April 3, 2024 Report Posted April 3, 2024 Water time is always a good time Quote
greenbone Posted April 5, 2024 Report Posted April 5, 2024 Fish5, yes you should have followed the bamboo stakes- and you know why. I’ve relocated to central S Fla but will be back in June to search for those Bamboo. I have some RV rental sites in Carrabelle on Carrabelle river if you are ever interested. 1 Quote
Fish5 Posted May 27, 2024 Author Report Posted May 27, 2024 Had a great Memorial Day weekend. Fished mid mornings, fighting through the cats we managed several short TT. Several keepers, including one with a tag, and one 28”, took him 18 minutes to get into the net. But all my boys landed keepers. 2 2 Quote
