Stuart90deluxe
The original aluminum fuel cell has finally failed after 34 years. Looking for advice on how to get this out without having to cut bow decking. I don’t see any mounting brackets and it has a fiberglass shroud. My original thought is to cut it out in 3 pieces. Fuel has been removed and flushed with water 3 times.

HoneyB
I think you are going to have to cut the cap to get it out.
Stuart90deluxe
I’m going to try and cut the tank out in pieces. Drilling large holes and then sawzall out panels, angle grinder where I need too. Last thing I want to do is fiberglass work after doing the paint and decking last year.
HoneyB
Where there is a will there is a way! I think the trick is going to be getting something else back into the hull.
