38p6 Posted April 14 Report Share Posted April 14 The way my trailer and boat is set up I can't use two straps on the back down to the trailer. I have to use one of those long ones that goes over the the whole boat. The only ones I can find are the black straps with steel Hooks and buckle. They start rusting practically immediately. I have been trying to find something nicer with stainless steel and some anti chafe things under the buckle and where in contacts edges of the boat. I'm sure it's out there somewhere but my Google searching isn't coming up with anything. Do any of you have any idea where I could get something like that? Unfortunately after using it once the rubber coated hooks wear out and the thing starts rusting immediately. Tender Posted April 18 Report Share Posted April 18 What about the retractable boat buckle in SS and use a lifting sling style of strap to make up the difference? You could wrap the lifting sling around the frame of the trailer, pass the end through the loop and it would leave the other end of the loop open to hook onto the boat buckle.
