Well it’s getting to be that time thought it’s a little hard to admit. The good news  I would rather be a little safer. Than a hole lot more sorry ! It’s been a while since I’ve been on this site  and I’ve missed the genuine commentary and willingness to share your troubles and Triumphs. Of your boating experiences.. I am considering a removable leaning post for my polling platform On my 96 MA. 17’  If anyone has had one made or knows someone that I could contact . I would truly appreciate it  I live in the Kendall area , between Miami and Homestead  in Fl. thank you for any assistance

There is a shop in the warehouse district by the falls, 87th Ave. & 129th Street across from Eric's outboards who does really nice work. I have a buddy who knows the owner and had a leaning post built for his boat and they did a great job! He also had custom made aluminum furniture made for his house in the keys and it was top notch. But if you were in Ft. Lauderdale, or willing to make the trip then The Outlaw (here on the forum) at AIM welding would be my suggestion.

Thank you MuddyBottomBluz” It’s been several years since I’ve been to Eric’s . They got some good marine techs there . I seem to recall the individuals referred to as Outlaw  now that you mentioned him . It’s about a hour north of me . I’ve drove to FLT. From MIA . Intl. for many years. I’ll try to contact him to here , might have some pictures of his work. We could share the progress on the site .Thanks you for your valued help

I wish to Thank : MuddyBottomBluz , Searing and the Moderator all for helping me with my Forward casting platform project. They referred The Outlaw to me . Living here in Miami theirs many shops that could have completed this project for me. However It’s not about convenience cost or down time. Ralph’s shop is in Ft Lauderdale. And hours drive north from me . Well worth anyone’s effort ,to check him out and drop by. To meet this gentleman and get an ideal. Of his creative abilities and down-to earth nature . After a couple of call and a visit , to drop off and unfinished frame . We bounced some ideals back and forth . Of additional modifications to my poling platform , and a removable leaning post .  As well as the addition of side mounted guides to the rear of the trailer With an integrated risers , on the rear guide mount for the trailer light to be installed. I will post these projects as each is completed. So other can see his creation to my MA 17

Yeah, yeah, yeah! Ralph is great, he will meet you on a Saturday even when they are closed and you are traveling a long way to drop off a project. We all know about Ralph. Some of you may not know  that the lady who works in the office (if it is the same one I dealt with a couple years ago) is a trip and a pleasure to deal with, as long as your ready to pay! The entire shop is filled with great people.

Glad it worked out for ya Jag76 and is apparently still working out for ya!👍

Thank you Jim , the pleasure was all mine .

Muddy , Angel can be your beast friend, or your worst enemy, she has no filter at all , but has been with us for 25 years.

Jim , we will make all of your dreams , reality .

I might be looking to retire , as my wife’s health has taken a turn , for the worse .

See you soon , my friend , and thank you for the kind words .
