Only a handful of skiffs in my area, Norwalk CT... curious if anyone from these parts is also on the forum.

Fishing thus far this spring has been eventful! Have some pics below from my favorite catches and some comments on the sesh.

Man, that is just cool. I remember bringing my flats boat up the the mountain lakes of Virginia and getting funny looks.  Flats boats make great platforms anywhere!   
 

Nice fish, I have always wanted to experience those shallow water striper!

Thank You! Hard work finding those big ones in shallow but much more rewarding and cooler environments than fishing the deep reefs.

Yeah not that common up here, been asked too many times if the poling platform is an "engine hat/cover" 😆

The shallow water game is awesome, absolute best when conditions align and you find them on the sand flats... rivals Bahamas in clarity with sometimes difficult-to-feed fish!

Amazing man. Looking into getting a hewes and live up in North NJ but Come up to CT often and am a die hard fly fisherman. If you have a free day this season to take a fellow fly fisherman out I’d like to see how it handles/fishes. Hit me up on insta @Mistaflyfish  . Tight lines. Dmitry

100% let's do it! I just had a baby tho so my fishing time is basically nonexistent but this would be a good excuse to get out there. I'll message you on instagram.

I have a 20ft LT tackle bgt years ago from guide on the Cape who I fished with 20 yrs ago.  Love the boat. I repowered several yrs ago with a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke.    I'm on the lower  CT river which gives me great access to LIS.
