harbday
I'm considering repowering my 1806v from a 90TLR to a F115 or VF115LA. Anyone made this jump and can advise on how the hull handled the additional 100 or so pounds hanging off the back? Does anyone have a 115 who could provide some performance numbers? I currently run 33-37 WOT @ 5200-5400RPM depending on the load and conditions. How much could I expect to gain from the additional 25HP considering the extra 100lbs of weight? Either way it would be nice to have a nice quiet 4 stroke... Thanks, Rick
Lap it Up
I don't know about a F115, but Hobo ran a 1806 with a 150 HPDI and claimed it was his favorite Pathfinder. He sold it a while back. That's the setup I would want!
chaz adams
I have the 1806v with the F115 and love this boat. Previously had the 2200 Tournament and then a series of flats boats before this. I can run the 1806v at 45mph with 3 people and loaded. Thats wide open in light to medium chop and trimmed all the way up. Think its running around 5600 rpms. I can check for sure in the next few days if you want specifics. My gas tank gauge is broken. Do you know how many gallons of fuel the 1806v takes? harbday
Thanks Chaz. Here is a link to a thread with the 1806 owners manual. I believe the tank is 40 gal. Got any photos of your setup?

TC
40 gallon tank. The owners manual is a generic Pathfinder manual for all 2001 boats. No wring diagram. I have the original brochure that shows the specs for each model Pathfinder for 2001,
hookem20
Chaz, Dont want to derail the topic but do you have any more photos of the casting platform? I'm thinking of getting something similar for my 20' pathfinder for cobia fishing. Thanks
Craigs
I have an 1806 with a F115, both are 2003. Very happy with the setup, max'ed out I can see 44+ maybe touch 45 with 400 pounds (of people) and 15 gallons of gas at 5400 - 5500 RPM. Last weekend with 35 gallons we were crusing at 35 - 36 MPH at 4400 - 4500 RPM ( that seems to be the sweet spot for my setup). Trimed up and a little down tab, without tab the boat will porpoise. I believe I am getting over 7 MPG. There was a Yamaha Performance Report for the 1900 with a F115 that was getting about 8 MPG. Now I just need to find a good deal on a used F115.

I have a 1806v with a 150 2 stroke Yamaha carb and I’ve gotten a couple different prop recommendations. I’m topping at about 50 mph, my neighbor has an 1810 with a 115 and he’s running 49 mph. I’m thinking I should be getting at least 55-57.
Lap it Up
No idea what prop he ran. But if i had that setup i would be looking for a Mercury Tempest plus in the 21 - 23 pitch range. Or a Yamaha pro series 3 blade in the same range.
cadd
Here is a link to a 2001 manual, it does have a basic schematic for the electrical system. Google_Drive_Link
