mattconrad
Does anyone know where I can buy these shock mounts or have a manufacturer and part number for the flip up storage on a 2001 Hewes 21 redfisher? I have them on the front compartment but the rears were missing. I looked through all of my suppliers (Land and Sea, Donovan, etc) and could not find them. Thanks, Matt
Nauti
Only the large front storage compartment has the hydraulic arms (at least on mine). I know I saw the arms at WM so maybe they have the mounts too?
mattconrad
My 2001 has them on the front compartment and the rear seat compartment. The black mounts are there but not the actual brackets. I have the shocks already as they are the same size on the front and the back. Thanks, Matt
2fastlx
Those pieces are called gas spring ball stud brackets. I had to order the two that mount under the seat hatch and found them by a google search from a place that sold RV accessories.
BaitTank
I just did my hatches cheap... took some spooled shark fishing wire.....cut to length........crimped with Tuna fishing crimps on both ends and a loop.....lock washer and nut....and I have hatch cables installed......cost me nothing and my hatches stay up now when I need them to.......LOL...... Smoak352
Just replaced mine. I had it done at the marina where I live. The front was 20 lbs, the rear seat I added a cushion which made it considerably heavier and they used 40 lb and it opens with ease now. I know they make marine ones and non marine, just make sure you get something that will hold up.
