VsteveV
I' am looking to lighten up my 07 18' Redfisher. I currently have 2 AGM's in the stern hatch and 2 in the console for the 24v trolling. I'm looking for ideas to either re-locate the stern batteries or maybe going with 1 battery. I typically do not run many accessories, I rarely use my GPS/Sounder, only other would be the live well. Would 1 battery be able to handle a day's worth of a running live well and still crank the motor? I was also looking into the Lithium Ion's. M.A.
You could get rid of one of your AGMs by going this wiring route. Still have 24v to your trolling motor (2 batteries in series), and will have a starting battery and one of the 24v batteries will still backup your starting battery. All 3 batteries can be charged by running your motor.
Brent B
yeah thats how mine is wired. its nice because you can run all you accessories and live well pumps etc by switching to 1 and then if you need a jump you can switch it and jump off your other trolling motor battery.
