Flying Guppy
On way back in today port side trim tabs stopped working. Tab was engaged and had to ride in leaning. When I got back to the dock I realize the problem was the switch. Took wires off swith of working trim tab and switched with non-working trim tab and lo and behold tab worked fine. Seems to be problem with switch. Anyone else have this problem? Switch does not appear to be Lenco switch. I'm assuming switch was made by Pathfinder? Boat has 21.2 hours and is 4 months old so I'm assuming this switch would be covered under warranty. How do I go about getting a new Switch? Was able to get the tabs retracted and boat is back in rack put away, but need new Switch ASAP, have company coming this week to fish. Any help would be appreciated thanks. tribbsa
Mine is a 2013, and I've had to replace a couple of times. It' a carling switch, but Seasense repackages it. It can be found at most marine supplies with a different actuator, but you can just pop off the actuator from your original switch and reuse. mustang190
You can also try taking the switch apart and clean the contacts. A little squirt of CRC will usually cure it. I have had to do it a couple of times.
