Bruce J
I spotted this item on the 2Cool site the other day for easier handling of the Xi5. Just put mine on this weekend, so I haven't tried it much but it seems like it will be very "handy". http://2coolfishing.com/ttmbforum/showthread.php?t=1795178&highlight=motorguide+handle

Redrum
Great idea....especially for us older anglers....I just ordered one....item has been discontinued and only 10 left
Bruce J
Kudos to whoever figured this out originally. It's a super lightweight forged aluminum mountain bike stem made by Canondale on sale from $100 to $5 (!) which just happens to fit the Xi5 shaft perfectly, as a handle. Somebody was really thinking outside of the box, which is good for the rest of us. Get 'em while you can!

SeaVuPlay
definitely helps lifting and securing the Xi5! Very light aluminum. Nice not having to pull on trolling motor head. We'll see how long it lasts.
Mik
So any pics of installs?
Bruce J
Not sure what you mean by the install. You just clamp it on. Since I posted this originally a couple years ago, I don't know if that specific part i still available. I'm sure some other bike neck would still work, though.
