SCFD rtrd. Posted September 23, 2016 Report Share Posted September 23, 2016 My brother-in-law bought a 3 year old tunnel skiff. The jack-plate didn't work. I found a problem with the brushes in the top of the elect. motor. TH Marine sent him a new motor unit under warranty. It bolts-up to the rest of the jack-plate. I'm looking for some help installing the motor part and hoped someone has done this before. Do we have to remove the outboard (70 HP Evenrude) or is there an easier and quicker way to remove the old motor unit and install the new unit.
