Candle Posted October 25, 2016 Report Posted October 25, 2016 I Have a buddy with a 1999 LT and is talking about a T-Top for the boat. I'm trying to talk him out of it, but he wants to know if anyone has done it and how did things turn out? Thanks!
bigsnook35 Posted October 25, 2016 Report Posted October 25, 2016 Tell him to sell the boat before putting a t top on it

Ksayles44 Posted October 27, 2016 Report Posted October 27, 2016 I don't think that would work out to good but I am curious if anyone has ever done it before. Mine had a bimini top before I bought it and that seems like a better route if he is looking for shade.
linesider 159 Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 If you want to greatly hurt the resale then do it. I'd also be worry about supports in the floor. Get a bimini, much easier to deal with
Tarpon1215 Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Never heard of mounting plates for a t-top in a LT.

HarleyG8r Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 In case you're still thinking about this, hopefully this will talk him out of it. Woof. http://treasure.craigslist.org/bod/5880535166.html
MarcoFishHippie Posted November 29, 2016 Report Posted November 29, 2016 tell him to stick an umbrella in a rod holder and call it a day! I ran across the picture below with some sort of fixed canopy coming off the poling platform of a Hewes RF. I would never do it because I don't want any obstacles on a small boat that could interfere with fishing. But if he is hell-bent on it this is a possible approach.
