mikeym Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 if anyone is interested in a project, a friends 19v pathfinder sank a few weeks ago(prior to the hurricane) and just settled with insurance company. i am negotiating purchase from the insurance company. the boat is a 2003, engine a 115 4stroke yamaha. weeks before it went down, the cushions were replaced, the digital gauges were replaced and a new fusion ip700 installed. im sure it will need a complete rewire, batteries, pumps, lights, etc as well as an engine. the hull itself is in pretty good shape though, it is low hour and did not sustain any damage in the roll. a single axle aluminum trailer is included. it has newer tires, but does show rust on springs and some u-bolts that will require attention in the future. i am pulling it from his marina dry storage this weekend to put on the trailer, and try to get a better assessment of exactly whats needed. attached is a picture of it in its worst state at the dock, and the empty trailer. will have more pictures of it this weekend. SOLD 912-655-5541, mike
Wanaflatsfish Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 How did she go down ? Those are normally self bailing? dc
justfish Posted October 29, 2016 Report Posted October 29, 2016 Man that ***. I too am curious how it went down I recently sold one I always thought it would be awesome repowered with a new merc 4 stroke. Not a mercurt fan but supposed to the a lot of motor in a lightweight package. What are you wanting for it?
HewesYourDaddy Posted October 30, 2016 Report Posted October 30, 2016 That's hard to look at! I bet the guys at LH soiled themselves when that happened. It almost looks like the boat went under near the put-in slip. What's the story?
Lap it Up Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 I would like to know what he wants for it as is.
linesider 159 Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 I don't want to speak for the owner, but when I had inquired i was told in the range of 5-8k from the insurance company
mikeym Posted October 31, 2016 Author Report Posted October 31, 2016 im still working with the insurance company, but it looks like it will be around 6k to buy it. as to why it sank, im not real sure. when they pulled the boat, they filled it back with freshwater looking for leaks and found nothing.
justfish Posted November 2, 2016 Report Posted November 2, 2016 Seems like a fair deal considering the trailer. As one of the resident 1900v fans, I'd love to see someone pic this up, put proper power on it (that F115 ain't it) and bring it back to life. These hulls are underrated. With a lightweight motor they are surprisingly shallow and with a 150 they are quick.
mikeym Posted November 2, 2016 Author Report Posted November 2, 2016 i bought the boat yesterday from insurance, and was able to negotiate the price down another couple hundred bucks. more pictures to come in a few days.
Conceptzj Posted November 2, 2016 Report Posted November 2, 2016 MikeyM, are you going to rebuild the boat or are you putting it right back up for sale. Please message me if you are going to be selling. Thanks
