Redfisher Running Lights

Prepare for a dumb question ... Anyone ever use the front running lights on their boat? The front running lights on my boat (2001 RF 16) weren't working, so I figured it must be the bulbs. When I unscrewed the assembly I was surprised to find there were no bulbs, no wires, no nothing! Basically it appears the lights are merely for show! I think it may be academic because I can't figure out how I could snake a wire through the hull. If anyone has dealt with this, please let me know.

Try to find the old wires, test them to see if they work or pull new wire 

replace lights with LED lights. I liked the marpac LED nav lights

Thanks again. I figured it out. I fished around in the anchor locker and found the wires and assembly for both lights. I'll work on replacing them. The list keeps growing...

I found replacements at West Marine. These are made by Sea Choice. Model 05151, Around $32 for the set.

Get the LEDs.  They are great!

You can just switch out the bulbs in those with a LED replacement and save some coin.
