THE OUTLAW Posted November 17, 2016 Report Posted November 17, 2016 Trying to find some new plugs for my sled . Seems to be an odd size . I bought one inch plugs , but they were too small . My internet search is not showing much else . It would appear that I need a 1.25" plug . Anyone know where to get these critters ? Thanks
bigsnook35 Posted November 17, 2016 Report Posted November 17, 2016 The 1 1/4" scuppers are too large for my scuppers on my Hewes Light Tackle 20. I'm still searching for the right size.
geeviam Posted October 19, 2019 Report Posted October 19, 2019 Found these and they work well on my RF 16 (Green, Extra Small size). They push down into the hole, so there's nothing to stub your toes on. Just pull up on the cord if needed to get them out. They completely seal the drain - water does not come in: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003UU13AI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Fsu11 Posted October 23, 2019 Report Posted October 23, 2019 going to order these and see if they work, i have same issue as well.
gnarlydog Posted October 23, 2019 Report Posted October 23, 2019 Thanks for the info, just bought a pair and they look like a tight fit. Look forward to testing them out. Hoping to finally solve the wet feet issue!
Fsu11 Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Just received mine and they are too small for my scuppers on an 01 redfisher 18. I purchased the extra small green ones. geeviam Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 They fit in the drains on my 2017 redfisher 16. the 2001 redfisher 18 must have larger drain pipes. I would suggest to anyone interested in ordering these, to measure the inside diameter of your scuppers, and Order them according to the sizing chart in the picture above.
Fsu11 Posted November 7, 2019 Report Posted November 7, 2019 Yeah i would need the small yellow ones, i filed for a return with amazon and they said to just keep them. not sure what i do with them now except find a friend at the sandbar with a RF16

But, maybe we can make a trade. I ordered a set of small yellow ones and they are too large for my RF 16. How bout we each drop our wrong sized plugs in an envelope and swap sets using the good ole cheap US Mail? I'd like to have a spare set of green ones anyway. Send me a PM if you're interested.

HoneyB Posted November 20, 2019 Report Posted November 20, 2019 Just ordered a set of the green plugs Thanks for the information.
SouthernWake Posted November 20, 2019 Report Posted November 20, 2019 Might have to give these a try. I have been using white rubber stoppers cheaply available online. They are tapered so you get a tight fit but do stick up about 1/4” above the deck.
HoneyB Posted December 4, 2019 Report Posted December 4, 2019 Green just a smidge too small for my 16 Redfisher. Yellow Holy cow too big... I ground the yellow plugs down to be a tight fit in mine . Not water tested yet but I think they are going to work great
gnarlydog Posted December 6, 2019 Report Posted December 6, 2019 HoneyB -- how'd you ground the yellow scuppers down? I'm in the same boat as you. Thanks!
HoneyB Posted December 6, 2019 Report Posted December 6, 2019 I have an air die grinder with a flapper wheel. The flapper Wheel is about two inches wide I guess. It was pretty easy to hold the plug and rotate it in my hand on the wheel. I thought a nice bench grinder would work well but I don’t have one of those.
Fsu11 Posted December 9, 2019 Report Posted December 9, 2019 update the yellow ones didnt fit in my scuppers either lol, thanks Geeviam for sending anyways but maybe i can try grinding them down.

I had to send some back and reorder a size larger to plug my livewell overflow (I use it as ice chest and that overflow lets water in when backing off plane). The dimensions they list are absolute size on those plugs - so choose one size larger for a given hole size. The blue one works great for my live well overflow.
