fishmanjj Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 That's St Catherine Island on the far right and Ossabaw on the far left....Medway River, Sunbury Ga.
whichwaysup Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Best part of the day, any day, is that sunrise. Still so much possibility . . . . and virtually no one else on the water. Man I love that time of day.
JEM Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Nice picture. That's down in my home waters. Know the spot quite well!!!!!

JEM Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Yes. I sent you a message. I know it's a tough pill that Yamaha doesn't at least provide the part, but at least it didn't blow the engine. If you hadn't stopped and checked on it, no telling how much time you had before it would have gone kapooie! What shop do you use?

I used Tim Hale at Hale Marine off President St. I fished down your way again today, we did catch a dozen keeper trout and about that many throw backs.
JEM Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 I went with Hughie today in his fancy new FAST 24. He wanted to take one of his grandsons. We slipped up to SC. We ended up with 15 trout, 4 reds, and 1 flounder.
fishmanjj Posted November 26, 2016 Author Report Posted November 26, 2016 Nice catch ! Did you ask Hughie if he remembered me ? I haven't seen him in a while.
JEM Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Yes, he remembers you well. He said he worked at G'stream for years with you. He said he thought you were chartering, but I told him I didn't think so.
fishmanjj Posted November 26, 2016 Author Report Posted November 26, 2016 Yes, I still do some chartering...but, nothing like years past. I'll do a few Tarpon and Tripletail trips down South at SSI in early summer...and I still go back and forth to Bahamas some....but, mostly just fun fishing when time permits. Is Hughie still running his shop or has he turned the keys over to the boys ?
JEM Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 He is still involved about half his time. He has a general manager over both shops, who has worked out good. He hired him away from Buffet's Precision Castparts.
fishmanjj Posted November 28, 2016 Author Report Posted November 28, 2016 I have a cell number for him from years past...does this still work 912-660-5763 ? I'd like to call him.
JEM Posted November 28, 2016 Report Posted November 28, 2016 Yes, still a good number. You will be lucky if he answers. He doesn't answer about 95% of the time I call him. Leave him a voice mail, or even better, text him and tell him you would like to talk fishing and Pathfinders. That might flush him out of his bunker. You can just imagine how many phone calls he gets! I wouldn't want to be in his shoes, even for his money! Haha. On another matter, did you catch any slimy fish under that "slick" water?
fishmanjj Posted November 28, 2016 Author Report Posted November 28, 2016 We caught a few...all on mirror lures and screwtails. We ended up on south end of St Catherine
JEM Posted November 28, 2016 Report Posted November 28, 2016 NICE!!! Looks like they were in a biting mood. Nice catch on artificials.
