CG RYAN
Hey guys, I have a JL 10" subwoofer that I planned on installing on my 2400 but havent gotten around to it because I cant decide on a spot. Just wondering if anyone has one in they're boat or has a suggestion on where to mount it. I am thinking either on the forward cockpit bulkhead or in the console mounted in a sealed box. Miss Jazzy
I had one mounted in the front of the console and it sounded terrible. You need a very solid surface for it to sound good, otherwise it will rattle very bad.
BradM
Hey Ryan, I haven't been on this forum in lord knows how long. I've got one mounted and it takes up a little room. As Miss Jassy said, it sounded awful! I fixed that with a sheet or Dynomat, cut and installed inside the console around the sub and the other two speakers in the console. Sounds just fine and has for years now.
