PANTHER 22
I have yamaha f150 on my 2007 2200xl and fuel/water separator is installed upside down. When changing filter how do you fill new filter with gas?
Miss Jazzy
After you change it out just pump the primer bulb until it fills back up. As soon as it tightens up it should be full.
NCTribute
If it is mounted upside down, then it will not remove water, in fact it will deliver a slug of water to the engine after sitting for awhile.
PANTHER 22
Why would Pathfinder install this filter upside down even theey should know water is heavier than gas

fishmanjj
it's a 2007 boat / motor, surely someone has seen that the fuel / water separator is mounted upside down in 9 years ???????????? It's had to have been in a shop for service in that amount of time. Or , it just recently got mounted that way.

I've never found water in my fuel since I've owned a boat. Use non ethanol fuel and keep your tank full when storing for long periods and you shouldn't get any. mulligan
I never have had any water but i still change it. I just did all 15 or so fuel filters on my HPDI and did not find anything on any of the filters but I will keep changing them to keep them like that. Dawgfan
X3......I don't understand how it could be up-side-down??? As noted above, it won't separate the water to the bottom if it's up-side-down.... Take a picture of it and post it......
