snelly Posted November 16, 2010 Report Share Posted November 16, 2010 After months of relentless winds it was good to finally get a trip out to the reef. This time of year is probably the best time to fish these waters. We have 2 x 5 day spawning closures in Oct & Nov each year as a management tool. We were greeted with a little more wind than expected but still fishable and we managed a good catch of Coral Trout, Spanish ( King ) Mackerel and Red Throat Emperor. It was a great day and good to get offshore again in the Hewes.
