mrtwister
Anyone know how fast a Yamaha 115 2 stroke 2001 model will push a 2001 1900v Pathfinder. Thanks
bernieNC
There are a lot of 2000v's out there with 115's. Four strokes at that.

Thanks I'd guess 40ish. Depending on how the boat is rigged and weight/gear. The prop also plays a significant part My RF18 w/ Yam V115 gets to 42 at 5700 if I work the jack plate and I believe there's room for improvement. But it seems common to give up hole shot for top end speed.
mrtwister
Thanks for the information. I am looking at a 1900v Pathfinder with 2 stroke 115 4 blade prop and he told me it would do 35 tops. I thought that was a little low. It does not have a jack plate, I think that will make a little difference.
Moderator
Is it a tunnel hull ? Speed sounds low for a 1900 V, unless the prop is wrong.. Mod-
Cculp218
Ya I had a 2003 1900v with a Yamaha 115 v4 2s. I was around 35mph at 4700rpm then I went to a power tech and was seeing 45 unloaded.
redzone1
A 2000v with an F115 will do 38 WOT. I would expect the same out of the 1900
justdriftin
I had a 2000 Bayfisher 18 which was a 18'10" hull, very similar if not identical to the 1900, except for the freeboard. I ran a 3 blade prop, don't even remember what it was, and could hit 40, maybe 42 by myself. The 115 was a good motor for that hull. Some days i would have liked more power, but it did a pretty good job on that boat.
rcnorrisjr
I have a 2004 1900v with F115 and consistently hit 42-44 depending on weight. I weigh 230, add another, 230 for daughter and wife and full cooler, I get 38 and liberal use of tabs.
justfish
I had a 1900 with 115 2 stroke. It's the right motor for that boat. I had a 3 blade when I bought it and could hit 47, but hole shot was very poor and would blow out with almost any trim. Switched to a 4 blade 17p powertech and could get 43ish with good holeshot and great grip.
