Bamaskeet
My fishing buddy and I are thinking about adding another Power Pole to the port side of our 2200V's. Is there enough room between the livewell and transom to through bolt the Power Pole? Has anybody mounted a Power Pole on the port side transom? RodWorks
I was able to thru bolt an Armstrong ladder bracket with backing plate. All done by reaching through the splash well access. I think it could be done.
fin-addict
if and when, I will be mounting mine on the port side. installer said there is enough room to do it. he suggest pie plate hole in livewell where pp bracket will be on transom. he has done it many times. hurricane
All depends on how far outboard you need to go to match the other side. I put a ladder on that side, it wasn't easy. Reach your hand back there, see if you think you could get the nuts on the bolts.
smilemaker
There is enough room to slide into but difficult knuckle busting work What I would do is have a backing plate made of 1/4-3/8 stainless steel and drill and tap to match pp plate . Drill for mount and get one bolt started on plate and then rotate to line up other 3bolts. You will need to scrape some foam to get inside clean and flat. justfish
Here is a good reference for ya. The Armstrong ladder on port side has a backing plate. That's about as far as a human can reach into there, in fact I had to get my 6'7" friend to reach the two outer ones.
smooth move
i make a shallow water manual pole and bracket that uses the same mounting scheme as PP and i mounted one of my brackets there. there's room between the livewell and the transom to get your hand in there. not easy, but do-able. Bamaskeet
Thanks for everybody's encouragement, we tackle the job yesterday on my buddy's 2200V. With the aid of long arms, the job was not as tough as I was expecting. Now, if I could just figure out how to synchronize the two Power Poles together, since following the directions didn't work.
