Lowcountry Joe
A lot of talk around these parts about using an "electric chicken " soft artificial for reds and trout. Is there an original "electric chicken" or is this just a generic name for the color or type of artificial. On line it seems everyone has an electric chicken for sale. bernieNC
http://www.northcarolinasportsman.com/details.php?id=6175 "He figured out how to make a two-color, soft-plastic lure where the colors did not bleed together, and his creation emerged in 1996 as pink over chartreuse with silver flakes. He named it the “Electric Chicken.” "

I use Gulp "Nuclear Chicken" quite a bit. I've never heard of "electric chicken".
Shallowminded6
Salt water assasin has a color called electric chicken. That is most likely what they are talking about it is the best color ever imo. Been using it for 10 plus years. Same as in the atricle posted above. It comes in a couple different tales if you dont want the paddle tail.
MPFit
I've been using Redfish Magic Electric Chicken for years. Most consistent artificial along with Spoons for... you guessed it! Redfish! Heh
HoneyB
salt water assassin had a nice electric chicken. but you better buy a case of them because the paddle tales will be gone about every third nibble.

polliwog
Good thread,I will have to give that color a try in the 10K. Should work very well as jigs are a main bait to use there.

fishmanjj
I used the electric chicken by Bass Assassin many years ago, trout and redfish on Georgia coast..now days, there are manufactures with similar colors including top water hard plastics. DOA, Z Man , Bass Assassin, etc. I think once you get confidence in a particular bait color or brand...it will continue to work for you. I think every Wal Mart on the coast sells Electric Chicken. There would be two of us...lol...Had some luck with that color on West coast of Florida but for our stuff here Slayer Inc Chicken off the chain is the trick...which is a variation of chicken on the chain...which is everyones version of chartreuse tail likely lol
