heweymagoos
Anyone running a power pole on an older hewes? I have a 97 bayfisher that I'm considering installing a power pole on. Not sure which model I'm going with yet but I'm concerned about it hitting my platform even with installing the bracket that goes between transom and engine. Lap it Up
6' transom mounted fits nice and snug without hitting the platform. An 8' would have to be on a bracket to clear the platform. It's the only clear pic I have but you can see how close the 6' is to the welded on rod holder. Give powerpole a call. They are extremely helpful and will push you in the correct direction. mulligan
I had a 6' on my Bayfisher. Like Lap said it was snug to the platform, I may have had 2" between the pole and the glass top. If I recall there was enough room to mount it further out so it could clear an 8' or 10'. Mine was transom mounted. I will see if I have some pics somewhere. justdriftin
I had an 8' transom mounted on my '00 Bayfisher. I was able to get it on there where it didn't interfere with the platform or the tabs. Wasn't a ton of room but found the right spot without a bracket. heweymagoos
Just got my 8' blade in the mail last night. I really want to install the adapter plate rather than drilling 4 holes in the transom.
