Capt Dan S
I have an old 1990 Lappy Bonefish. Previous owners removed under gunnel rod holders. Can someone PM me a pic of what rod holders back then look like or post them. Are the available anywhere ? Thanks in advance, Dan
awall
I have an 89 and mine were made of two thin pieces of fiberglass with foam in between and fiber glassed into the gunnels. I'll try to see if I can find a picture at home. I replaced mine with custom made ones from http://shallowwatersolutions.com/ .

MuddyBottomBluz
From my understanding those are factory installed rod holders were actually part of the hull and provided support for the gunnel to prevent flexing when walked on. On my 89 (redfisher) they were glassed in. As Awall pointed out they were foam filled to reduce weight but still provided support and rigidity for the gunnel.
