FLDXT
Hopefully last tm transducer I'll ever have to mess with. It reads, CHIRP, pretty good now but I had to push it low on the transom.
Wanaflatsfish
Thanks....I have mine more to the left and it's not reading properly.... I wasn't sure if being close to the trim tab would affect it.... I'll move it. dc
algi
put it inside the hull. Will work at high speed. Not a thru hull but inside hull
DaveC
Mine is mounted a bit closer to the centerline, not much. And I mounted my tabs a bit higher on the trailing edge but I added a couple of inches to the chine dimension so I wouldn't lose deflection when they're down or running at higher speed. My transducer seems to be okay?
FLDXT
This will be the last transom mount I own, tired of playing with the location. Thru-hull from here on out.
DaveC
I'd like to at some point too, the new transducers are really nice and will give you decent side-scan imaging to. I need to open up that access plate at the engine well first...!
conocean
The thru hull transducer on my old 17MA worked great. That stern mount transducer is a thing of the past!
