FLDXT
Not a jewfish, their tails are rounded out. I'd say gag.
Mitz
Yeah the tail, that's what I was thinking too but just wasn't that confident as I've frankly not caught very many grouper in my life haha. Hopefully this guy has fatten up when I come to visit the same spot again end of July. That was taken end of sept last year and was around 22ish inches. Also pulled a couple of 16 inch mangos out of that spot:)
whichwaysup
That sir, is of the species dinnerocious deliciousos. They frequently inhabit porcelain dishes, yeasty buns, and are occassionally found in hot grease (during their annual migrations). While it is okay to keep them in certain situations, it is best to ship them (plenty of ice) to the proper authorities here in Wimington to determine the edibility. All leftovers will be shipped back to you for a small fee.
conocean
Gag. I love trolling plugs for those things in the ENP rivers during the fall.

SCFD rtrd.
Gag for sure. Black Grouper look very similar, same green and black markings, but the Black have a distinct repeating pattern of connecting rectangles instead of the random pattern that the Gag has.
