Smoak352 Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 My fuel gauge reads empty despite having a full tank. I looked in the manual and the fuel tank location does not look very accessible. The manual states, "Your Redfisher 21 comes with an 48-gallon aluminum fuel cell stationed midship between the stringers just below and in front of the console." Any idea what to check first or how to get to the fuel tank? Thanks,
mulligan Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 There should be an inspection plate in the floor of the console. Below the inspection plate is your sending unit for the tank.
Nauti Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 Yeah, mine works when it wants to but not very often any more. I just fill up every other trip and I'm never below about 1/2 tank. I thought mine had 44 or 42 gallons, but not sure. I've never really trusted boat fuel gauges so I guess I don't miss mine much.
