Steveden
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I just purchased a new TRS22 with the "Pro Package " which included a 24v trolling motor charging setup. My question is: "how can I tell if the batteries are charged?" Thanks
bernieNC
Don't know what charger you have but the LED's on mine turn green when charge is complete.
SCFD rtrd.
If you don't have the manual that came with the charger, just Google the charger and download the manual. I'm sure the charger has some type of LED lights that indicated several functions, including full charge.
Steveden
It's a ProMariner Pro Sport 20Plus 3 bank. It looks like it's charging. So is there a green light that appears when completed? thanks
SCFD rtrd.
Need to stick that phone in closer to the LED lights and get a close-up. But, I think the 3rd light down from the AC power is the full charge light.
Steveden
Thanks!! Yes, according to their website, a green LED does indicate charging completed. Again thanks for your help. Tenderfoot need all the help and patience we can get. LOL
NCTribute
The charging light, second one down, will be red when taking a heavy charge, will turn orange when taking a relatively low charge. You will get a green light when in a maintenance mode. Once the orange light comes on you are good to go, but I let mine go to green when time allows. Steveden
Ok finally got the green LED charging complete light. Though it too about 6 1/2 hours to complete.
polliwog
You batteries were in a low charge level,so the charger took longer than normal. If you use a trolling motor for a long time it will take quite a while to get back to full charge. BTW it is best to charge the batteries when you return from a trip, keep the charge up to high level for battery health and longevity.
MikeSTJC
Do you run from spot to spot? If so, you could add the following on water charger: http://www.minnkotamotors.com/Battery-Chargers/On-Board-Chargers/DC-Alternator-Chargers/

It doesn't have charge on the run which many on this forum like; however, for me, I don't overnight camp etc..and I've never had a problem getting a charge overnight. As mentioned, the key to good battery life is immediate re-charge when you return...don't let it go for two weeks...and insure you have good water levels if using wet cells.
