conocean
The GPS on my boat is very rarely used so the sight of the standard bracket and cables on the console dash always bothered me. I called Bob@IMS and asked him for a solution. He suggested to remove the bracket and install a Ram Mount then leave the cables and bracket on my console shelf..... brilliant! I stand when I'm at the wheel in order to read the water so this setup actually fits my use a lot better and the base is only a few inches high & wide so it's not such an eyesore. Also, I'm going to order the Ram Mount cup holder so my son stops spilling his Gatorades in the freakin cockpit!! Thanks again Bob.
fishbum321
ram also makes a very good suction mount. i use it for my Lowrance on my micro so i i can have a bare center counsel when i don't need it.
conocean
I think that's a great option for a cup holder! I sometimes travel 30+ miles in rough water so I don't trust a suction cup to keep my GPS secure.

whichwaysup
Love my ram mount. The ability to move that HDS 7 around, swivel it, etc. is awesome.
