gambler1
For you guy that have installed them, do you leave or take out scuppers / flappers at the stern? Wasn't there a video floating around that showed install and removal for cleaning the Rabuds? 2007 Pathfinder 2200

Bamaskeet
I just mounted the Raybuds on the transom. I didn't remove anything.
justdriftin
I pulled the rubber flapper out, I thought they might have been impeding the outflow since they had gotten rigid.
gambler1
My concern is "if" I take the rubber flapper out and the ping pong system fails I may have a serious problem with water intrusion.
rckeat
I always heard you are supposed to remove the flapper before the install. At least that's what I did like 6 years ago. No problems since.
RodWorks
The flappers don't work to keep water from slowing running in. They only work to keep water from rushing in when the boat is in reverse etc. I don't see any point in leaving them in as they will just complicate cleaning debris. As far as install, I would screw the spacers to the hull and then tap and use machine screws to attach the Rabud to the spacer. This way you can remove and clean without having to reseal each time. cadd
No need for them with Rabuds, and if you leave them in its just something else to catch debris
