jbozzelle
What's a good replacement fuel sender for my 2003 2400V Pathfinder? It doesn't read anything below 1/4 tank... Does anyone make a fuel sender that would work with the factory wiring (Yamaha gauge) as well as hook up to a N2K network?
SCFD rtrd.
Can't comment on the N2K network (technically challenged), but I would recommend the WEMA fuel sender. They all have two wires (red/black). The WEMA fuel sender has no exposed wires or connectors and that's the part that usually malfunctions first. Check out their web-site, it has lots of good information. Just temporarily remove your sender, measure the depth of the tank, then subtract 1". That's the length of the sender you'll order. Screw the sender back down till the new one arrives. That keeps gasoline vapors from filling the hull. Make sure your wire connections are tight and use heat-shrink to seal the connection.
