SaltySouth
I am in the process of lightly restoring a 2000 hpx-t. I have the rubrail off for paint at the moment so I was hoping to get some feedback on spray rails (while it is convenient to install). Is it worth it on an early model hpxt? Does it through bolt through the rubrail? Do I make them from starboard (if so how thick)? Thanks for your time and input!
conocean
I don't remember the particulars but our old T had black starboard spray rails screwed into the underside of the cap connection and I wish they were a little taller to knock down more spray. Make sure you seal the cap connection and rub rail really good with 4200, especially at the transom!
JarodC17
I just added them to an '01, I removed the screws from the rubrail and through bolted the spray rails. I ordered 1/2"x4"x8' starboard from Boat Outfitters, and added the angle on both ends.
mdemott
Used ones from TACO on a 98 boat and they were definitely worth it.
