hawg
While shopping for new tires for my dual axle trailer, I discovered that Goodyear now sells a trailer tire which is manufactured here in the U.S.A. It is called the "Endurance" and sells for about $10 more per tire than the Chinese tires. I think the $10 is money well spent. How about you? gambler1
Have heard great reports from people with the "new" Endurance from Goodyear. They will be my next set.
Drummer
Maxxis and Carlisle have the best reputations in the tire business. Not sure about the new GY. I would not let the country of origin sway me too much. Some of the offshore factories are state of the art.
hawg
Drummer, It's not that I question the potential quality of products made in China, but I'd like to help provide jobs for Americans if I can. Hawg
jason p
Probably Chinese but Maxxis 8008s are the best tire I have ever had under a trailer.
Bamaskeet
I have had good luck with Maxxis trailer tires. They are world famous for motorcycle tires. i believe they are made in Korea.
SCFD rtrd.
Search Tire Rack for trailer tires. They sell some with a speed rating of 90 or 100 mph. I certainly don't tow that fast, but if it is speed rated to 90 mph it is probably better quality. Most trailer tires are just junk. Lets of folks are using light truck tires or vehicle tires. They are certainly made to a higher standard because they are designed to carry passengers.

DonV
Hey Mr. 'hawg", I sure hope the new GY tires you mentioned are not just re-branded GY Marathons. If they are run, run very far and very fast! Pure junk! As most say spend the extra effort and money on the Maxxis.
Lap it Up
I run Carlisle Sport Trail LH. Great tires for the price. Maxxis is a great tire as well, but normally double the price.
brew1891
I put the new GY Endurance tires on my trailer recently. Load range D 14". They are not rebranded marathons. New design made in USA. Trailer rides so much better than the old marathons that were on the trailer before.
conocean
I had two sets of Carlisle radial trails on my 17MA Ameratrail. I'm on my 3rd set of Freestars with my current 18HPX Ameratrail, which Ameratrail used for years. Never an issue with any. Always got the beefy brass valve stems and recently started balancing. I've heard nothing but great things about Maxxis.

No matter the miles any trailer tire at 5 plus years of age is worn out. From the inside out.
