hurricane
Just came across this, thought it was cool. Be great for long trips, gives temp and pressure. Don't think I would dunk the trailer with the sensor on, but they seem easy to remove at the ramp. http://www.minderresearch.com/tireminder/
justfish
Kinda cool. I have a habit of always giving my trailer tires the ole thumb check and feeling temp of my hubs at every stop. My wife says I obsess over it, of course she's never changed a tire or bearing on the side of the road.
hurricane
I do the same thing, that's why I liked this. If it works as advertised, you would see a hub going bad or tire going flat long before it happened, leaving you stuck.
SCFD rtrd.
I looked at the TPMS and never perused it, but I'm going to. I found some systems for around $400 that have the device inside the tire, just like your truck tires. So, no problem dunking the trailer because everything is internal. Would be nice to know there is a problem before you are stuck in the side of the interstate.
hurricane
I agree. Do those systems with internal sensors sense temp also?
SCFD rtrd.
Can't remember, it's been about a year since I researched.
