TM twist grip

Any Suggestions, the twist grip throttle on my MG TM is getting a little hard to turn. does it need to be lubed, if so, where and what to use. Can pull the handle all the way out and slip back into place. thanks. fin

I'd think opening it up and cleaning it could help.

if not you can install a momentary switch which they make in both a foot switch and a button on an extension handle. That way you can set it and turn it on/off with the switch.

Exactly!!! Take the cap off the head and see what's got it in a bind. Got to be something simple, cause theres not much in the way of moving parts in there.

that's what I intend to due. this is a MG Varimax. do not make them anymore or parts/head for them. mg had problems with them. if something went in the head, whole head had to be replaced. did some research and spoke to dealers today. ALSO noticed the reverse is gone, magnet my have come loose that controls the reverse action. Also hear a loud click sound getting it into full off.

ALL FIXED !!!!!!! took all of thirty seconds once head cover was removed. O ring on tiller slipped out of groove and was binding tiller movement. Reverse is also back. Turns smooth as silk. thanks for support and suggestions  fin
