fishmanjj
In my life, I've caught a tagged blue marlin, a tagged redfish and now a tagged tripletail. Caught this little fellow down at St Simons and noticed the yellow Ga DNR tag just below the dorsal fin....the state DNR are trying to better understand the travels of the tripletail. I'll call them tomorrow and give them tag number, length and where I caught and released it. It will be interesting to see where the fish traveled from. JEM
Congratulations. That is pretty cool. Let us know when you hear back from the DNR. They might send you a t-shirt. I have caught a tagged red and sailfish. And one of my tagged sails was caught. I imagine there aren't a lot of tagged tripletails out there. HewesYourDaddy
Find out the person who tagged it. If it was Paul at DNR, then tell him you retagged a redfish with the tripletail tag. Tell him you've been doing this for a while!
