SouthernWake
Currently I have no cup holders and am tired of trying to hold my beer with my heels while driving or have water bottles rolling around the floor. I have a small console and no room to mount a flush cup holder on top or rail to attatch one to which has me thinking my options are limited. A folding cup holder would be great but any of those I've seen would surely break or fall apart quickly. Any suggestions? What have you other guys done? Sunstone
I never use a cup holder just to store lures when I change. Open take a drink and back in the cooler. Hate warm soda or water.

Unless you take one out with a knee, they are pretty dang handy and sturdier than expected. Just close them up when not in use.

Bamaskeet
Liquid Holster is the way to go. You can find them in eBay.
Lap it Up
I bought the single style SS cup holders off eBay. Good quality stainless. No corrosion or rust whatsoever. They hold large foam coozies which are a must for me.
geeviam
Not pretty, but sturdy and functional - if you don't mind losing the use of a rod holder. Used some spare PVC pipe (1" and 3"), a 3" cap, stainless carriage bolt, washer and wing nut. Drilled 3 small drain holes too.

They will break over time 1-2 years, but for $6 it doesn't matter.
Nauti
geeviam, that is very cool and creative. Personally I feel I need more rod holders so I couldn't give up that valuable real estate, but I like what you did.

SouthernWake
Those folding ones look like the only thing that could work, hoping they at least last a year. Thanks for the ideas

I should probably use a nylon nut or something other than a SS wing nut, to avoid scratching the gelcoat in the event it was accidentally dropped. I have used the folding cup holders before and I liked them too.
justdriftin
I have these and had on my last boat as well. https://cudascustoms.com/ Look pretty good and no holes to drill. I had the folding ones as well, and really not bad. But going to have to replace every couple of years. I used the adhesive and the adhesive would last about as long as it would take me to break them off because I would forget to flip them back up. HoneyB
Soft mate holder are what I use . The footprint should not be that much more than the foldable ones.
Davej
I use cup holders from Sea Sucker. (www.seasucker.com) A little expensive, but they work great, can be moved anywhere you have a flat surface, and best of all, your not drilling holes in your boat. triplec
Tried the foiding, plastic, even bike water bottle holders. Theses are my favorite by far.
