I understand they're for inland boaters, but do they not have base maps that can be used in coastal areas and upgraded with g2 charts later? fishmanjj Posted July 14, 2017 Report Share Posted July 14, 2017 I'm not sure about Lake Vu....but, I know the 93 sv is for inland use and the 94sv is for coastal use. .I bought the additional Blue chart G2 HD card that shows Charleston Sc to Jacksonville Fl. It is very high definition and very very clear. The base map for my unit came with a US Coastal maps with viewing that shows the entire East Coast and West Coast of USA to include the Bahamas. However the HD card with specific areas are very high def and updated. The HD card is around $200. my unit is a 94sv. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
