ReelWork
Looking for help- Where do you have your heading sensor mounted? The dealer located on the underside of the console shelf "Inverted/ upside down." Not sure if anyone else has seen or done this? Needless to say it's not operating correctly and struggling to stay put and seems confused. Tried on two different trips to "Spot lock" and have had no success. planning on taking back to dealer to relocate. Any suggestions appreciated. Tried in low wind, slack tide on a canal. JEM
Mine is mounted on a starboard shelf inside the console next to the front "wall," so the signal only has to go through the one fiberglass panel. Works great. I would call MK support and ask about upside down mounting. My guess is that could be your problem.
hurricane
I would think, unless there is setting to let the unit know the senor is upside down, that the sensor would think left is right and right is left. So it wouldn't work properly.
Lowcountry Joe
Mine is mounted on the top shelf of the center console behind the windshield. Works perfectly, spot lock is spot on !
OldestCityLocal
Didn't install mine. They told me it would go thru the console and my cooler up front. Works great without it just don't have the jog feature.
NCTribute
Check out e. on page 2. Specifically states to not mount upside down. Think you need to have a talk with your 'expert' installer. https://www.minnkotamotors.com/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=4052
JEM
Amazing how lazy so many dealer/installers are!!!!! They could care less.

Capt. Tyler
Mounted on top of console behind windshield also. No problems.
awall
I haven't mounted mine yet, spot lock has worked great without it so far but I have only used it in pretty strong current so far. It does say it must be on a flat surface and not upside down in the installation booklet.
