Dr. Pepper Posted July 27, 2017 Report Posted July 27, 2017 Being that the transom tends to be weak/problematic on my 92' Redfisher i was thinking a transom saver to use while trailering would be a good idea. Anyone have any experience with this or able to recomend one that will work well with my 150hp?
polliwog Posted August 5, 2017 Report Posted August 5, 2017 Do assume your are asking about a bracket that connects the lower unit to the cross bar of the trailer? They are used to keep the weight and pressure to transfer to the trailer instead of the transom. It would be useful to know what the issues are on the transom and maybe address those as well. Can you trail the boat with the engine in an almost vertical position ? That would be the best solution. Quote
