CG RYAN
Hey guys, Neither one of my trim tabs are working and I don't think that both actuators would have died together so I'm wondering what type of components are in-line with the trim tabs. I checked the breaker and it isnt popped. I havent pulled the switch apart yet but will today. Just looking for any help for those who have had issues. The switches are the standard Pathfinder ones, not Lenco if that helps.
Tall Tails
Every time one of my tabs failed it was because the wire coming off the tab was corroded (severely) at the butt connector to the wire that comes off the switch. Cut it at the connector. If its all green powder instead of wire you have found your issue. Cut back until you find good wire and put a new heat shrink connector in there. You may have to splice in a new length of wire depending on the severity of the corrosion. Also be aware that Lenco will NOT sell you the wire that comes from the tab actuator. Cut that stuff sparingly.
CG RYAN
It ended up being the circuit breaker. Thanks
mustang190
Now you need to find out what tripped the breaker.
CG RYAN
The breaker was slightly corroded and not letting the current pass. It never actually tripped. All good now.
