algi
OK guys Would it be wise to tie down trailer with boat on it? Stupid question what is the best way? Thanks and be safe
James Grissom
It worked for me I tied them togeather then filled the boat 1/4 full of water .Only because it was so light after I removed the 25 hp didn't want to put to much water and damage the springs Don't think I would put that water inside a fiberglass hull . With all the foam core or honeycomb material
polliwog
If you have some big trees tie it off between them. You just don't want it floating away. If it is outside there will be some risk. Scary thought, stay safe yourself ,this is what boat insurance is for.
fin-addict
let some air out of the trailer tires, makes it harder to move.
Capt. Troy
Go to Ace Hardware and get some of the auger type ground anchors and screw them in the ground and then ratchet strap it down. Do not put water in the boat.http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=33680726&KPID=1175589&cid=CAPLA:G:Shopping_-_Earth_Anchors&pla=pla_1175589&k_clickid=8dfdd7d2-c29d-4d8d-8937-9fc86c051bc5&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItpT7peCV1gIVRl6GCh0ttgRsEAYYBSABEgKON_D_BwE DO NOT TIE TO BIG TREES OR GET ANY WHERE NEAR THEM. Boat smashers.

The last thing I would want is a tree to fall and having a rope guide the fall of the tree to my boat.
James Grissom
With all this rain we've been having and the additional flooding . It takes a much lower wind gust to topple those trees , with large top due to the saturated ground . Sorry failed to state that mine boat was a metal John boat , makes a big difference for sure .What about parking between house and car or two car , so long as the house dosen't have cement or clay roof tile . Hope all turns out well .

They had pallets of water to the roof.
