Noahpressler Posted September 15, 2017 Report Posted September 15, 2017 I need to replace the gas tank in my 94 hewes tournament (bonefisher) can I get the old one out without cutting cap? An can I put a new one in I don't mind going smaller but probably not under 19 or 20 gallons. Any ideas, suggestions, or help would be great. Thanks!
Just Gin Posted June 14, 2018 Report Posted June 14, 2018 Did you ever end up doing this project? I am about to have to do the same thing. I am thinking of cutting out the old tank and replacing with one that can fit through the hatch. Also a 1994 tournament.
Noahpressler Posted June 20, 2018 Author Report Posted June 20, 2018 We cut the aluminum tank out in half. With soapy water inside so we didn't get an explosion. Then we put a 19 gallon poly tank in by Moeller and it fit perfect.
