R_moxley21 Posted December 17, 2017 Report Posted December 17, 2017 I’m looking at a 97’ Hewes Bayfisher and I would like to know more about it. What’s the difference between the Bayfisher, Bonefisher and Redfisher?
hurricane Posted December 17, 2017 Report Posted December 17, 2017 Basically just the inside layout, hull is the same. Some years of the bonefisher had lower sides.
johnd Posted December 18, 2017 Report Posted December 18, 2017 Not certain about Bone, but Hurricane correct. Red & Bay (except I think a few years) same hull, different deck layouts.
mdemott Posted December 18, 2017 Report Posted December 18, 2017 I've had both boats. Ride was similar. Bayfisher was a 96 lappy that was well care for. Redfisher was a 2001. Felt the Redfisher had more storage space for me.
hurricane Posted December 18, 2017 Report Posted December 18, 2017 The 96 and 2001 would've been very different boats, inside and out. The line got a complete make over some where around 2000 when they did away with the Lappy hull. However, before the change and after the only difference between the Bayfisher and Redfisher is the inside layout. After the Lappy went away the Bonefisher became a completely different boat more inline with the HPX.
